You can point the file JournalSaveFile=C:\ to anywhere you want, as long as you have \Journal.txt at the end of it - it's your journal you want. I keep mine on desktop because it's just easier to access.

You absolutely want to make sure you have: SaveJournal=on and JournalSaveUnicode=off. SaveJournal=on saves your logs, JournalSaveUnicode is annoying and will screw up your writing by putting a space in between each letter so you can't search for things, and can't straight copy/paste.

Just what the topic implies! If you wish to save your logs of the game (your Journal):

1. Go into your Ultima Online Folder (wherever it may be). Example: C:\Users\Xxxxxxx\Documents\EA Games\Ultima Online Legacy\User Data\Log In Name\UO Roleplay Example: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online Legacy\User Data\Log In Name\UO Roleplay

2. Look under each of your character's file's names.

3. Go into the file that says: UO. It's generally either the first or the last file. If you have problems opening this file, make it into a txt file by opening it in notepad.

4. When you open it you should see information like this:

Quote: CdRomDataPath=c:\lbr2d CacheSize=25 HdUsage=max SavePassword=off Password= FilterPassword= TranslationServerIPAddress=000.0.0.0,00000 TranslationServerTranslatorName=Systran TranslationServerSystranNFWMarker=>?> TranslationServerSystranTopicalGlossaries=S TranslationServerSystranDocumentType=S TranslationServerAutomaticTranslation=true TranslationServerClickTranslation=on

ClientFirstLaunch=no AcctID=Delia NextLoginKey=93 LastServerID=0 PlayerName=A chimera DefaultChar=1 ClientLogin=168

------------------------------

Sound=on Music=off

What you want is this last part:

PlayerName=A chimera DefaultChar=1 ClientLogin=168

------------------------------

Sound=on

You're going to add: JournalSaveFile=C:\Users\Xxxxxxx\Desktop\Journal.txt

So it looks like this:

PlayerName=A chimera DefaultChar=1 ClientLogin=168 JournalSaveFile=C:\Users\Xxxxxxx\Desktop\Journal.txt

------------------------------

Sound=on

You can point the file JournalSaveFile=C:\ to anywhere you want, as long as you have \Journal.txt at the end of it - it's your journal you want. I keep mine on desktop because it's just easier to access.

5. Further down the text file you're going to see:

Quote: NotorietyQuery=off ShowIntroAnim=off OrderCacheOnStartup=off SaveJournal=off JournalSaveUnicode=off GlobalQueue=off FilterPWOn=off

It'll look like this:

NotorietyQuery=off ShowIntroAnim=off OrderCacheOnStartup=off SaveJournal=on JournalSaveUnicode=off GlobalQueue=off FilterPWOn=off

So, that's about it.

JournalSaveFile=C:\Users\Xxxxxxx\Desktop\Journal.txt and SaveJournal=on

EasyUO Journal

This page is a tutorial on how to save Chat from your journal using EasyUO.

First, download Easy UO 1.5.

Open EasyUO as an administrator (Important!) and copy+paste the text below.

Copy and Paste the entire text found here into EasyUO and save it as any name you would like.

You can set where the journal files will be saved to by editing the script on line 224: menu edit path 110 %yCoordinate 150 C:\Users Just change the C:\ to the location you desire and save again.

Press play! Configuration should be intuitive so long as the program starts correctly. Once again make sure you are running EasyUO as an administrator. Check "Filter Spamming?" once the program is running to turn off the "You see: a bird" type messages.
